FLORENCE, AL - Enrollment at the University of North Alabama for Spring 2021 has broken previous spring enrollment records and marks the ninth consecutive semester of enrollment growth on campus. The largest growth is in online graduate programs, and the total number of students is a nearly five percent increase from Spring 2020.
"The University's enrollment growth is a clear indicator that the campus community is doing something right, and it is a credit to those who work directly to ensure that UNA is the top choice for students in the region," said UNA President Dr. Ken Kitts. "I am extremely pleased that we continue to see such significant gains, most notably among our online graduate student population."
The Spring 2021 semester experienced the largest growth among online graduate students, with a 37 percent increase from Spring 2020. The expectation is that growth will continue for a 10th consecutive semester as UNA heads into the Summer 2021 and Fall 2021 semesters.
"Enrollment indicators for the foreseeable future are positive and robust for UNA," said Dr. Ross Alexander, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. "Even as so many others colleges and universities are struggling in these areas as a result of the pandemic, UNA continues to thrive."
